DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT ART DIRECTOR (Graphics/Web)
Your primary responsibility will be to assist the business owner with redesigning the current WordPress website, and incorporating an award-winning external blog as a new page into the new design through research, development, computer graphics & web design, music podcasts, video recording and editing, and communications, including social media, crowdsourcing and other campaigns support.

DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Plan, develop, create, and implement digital content strategy for the project.
- Provide design, layout and programming for WordPress.com website to meet marketing needs.
- Design digital print, audio and video communications and campaigns to attract and secure influencers and other potential stakeholders via social media messages, emails, e-newsletter, reports, presentations, trailers, videos, music playlists and podcasts and other visual content (as needed).
- Work independently with your own hardware and software programs, and have reliable Internet connectivity.
- Work collaboratively with the art director/editor/blogger and project team members.
- Additional duties as discussed and agreed upon.
Public Relations/Marketing Assistant Intern

DESCRIPTION: PUBLIC RELATIONS/MARKETING ASSISTANT
Your primary responsibility will be to assist the business owner with the Reach for Freedom: Heal Child Abuse Music Project through research, development, and communications, including social media, crowdsourcing and possibly crowdfunding campaigns support. You will be copywriting, posting, and distributing media releases and website content, news monitoring, and more, and will be working closely with the owner to determine their PR needs.

- Create engaging content for campaigns: e-newsletter, media releases, website, social media platforms, music platforms and blog page.
- Update and maintain social media accounts.
- Provide assistance with scheduling and organizing events.
- Give input on marketing initiatives and suggest creative ways to improve the project.
- Monitor media coverage on news and articles and create press clippings.
- Create and update media list and media kit
- Create statistics reports to gauge campaign success (e.g., news articles published, blog articles, requests for interviews, social media engagement, website views and comments, etc.)
- Work independently with your own hardware and software programs, and have reliable Internet connectivity.
- Work collaboratively with the client and project team members.
- Additional duties as discussed and agreed upon.
Start Date (Spring 2024): January 16, 2024
End date (Spring 2024): April 9, 2024
Total Weeks: 12

QUALIFICATIONS (General and Specific For Both Positions)
You are creative, enthusiastic, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are a collaborative team player with a “let’s do this” attitude, are detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, and value the ability to work independently and in a time-efficient manner. Depending upon your specific position, you are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, WordPress, video digital editing, Facebook, X(Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, podcasting, and video conferencing platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom).
You are passionate about telling stories that share a greater reality beyond the usual or ordinary that are challenging, pioneering. You are comfortable with controversial themes and subjects, see the beauty in representing diverse perspectives (sexuality, gender, age, spirituality, cultures, nationalities, universalities). Also, you are bright, organized, motivated, have a professional demeanor, have a passion for the arts and entertainment, and a willingness to learn and dare to shine.

is based on the the philosophy, values and vision of RED BURNS (named the Godmother of Silicon Valley”) who was the Founder and Chair of the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where Valerie Mich’El Oliver (The Pursuit Studio) attended as was mentored by Red Burns.
