Client’s New Book, “God Doesn’t Live At Our House Anymore”, is a Testament to the Author’s Courage to Reveal and Heal the Tragic Loss of a Infant (Postpartum, Infant Death, Maternal Health, PTSD, Depression)

Anyone who has lost a baby in-utero or after delivery often experiences a grief so intense that it is overwhelming. It may also cause you to drift into a bottomless pit of darkness. This depression affects every aspect of life, including emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual parts. As some of you may know, I worked as an editor, graphic designer, and art director for many years. I retired at age 62 due to illness. Afterward, I re-focused on episodic, film, and healing arts projects. However, when family or friends bring design-focused projects (print or web) as clients my way, I tend to say, “Yes!”
I knew I made a good decision to create the website for “God Doesn’t Live At Our House Anymore”. Tears streamed down my face. I couldn’t stop sobbing halfway into reading this chapbook. It was this one line:
My baby girl, Charlotte.
My outpouring was mingled with my own submerged grief about being an abused child–my own “Little Girl”. I realized how those abusive experiences affected me deeply. Years ago, I made a subconscious decision to never have children of my own. I feared hurting them. I’m extremely grateful to have nieces and nephews who love me. I have heard from adults who were once children in my life. They expressed deep gratitude for the positive influence I was when they were growing up. But you parents know it’s not the same thing is it? I’m grateful for this breakthrough understanding that came from reading the chapbook.

The author wrote the book under her daughter’s name in memory of and to honor Charlotte. She did this to heal herself. She also aimed to inspire others to honor their own stories and heal.
Please visit (and share) this special project, and if so moved, gift the author by paying to keep the website up and running (option to do so is on the website Home page), or feature the author on your blog, magazine, newsletter, podcast or other media; leave a review on Amazon, and order a copy for someone you know who has grieved or is grieving the death of a child.
